I moved back to Cincinnati in eighth grade from living in Kentucky for three years. In the small town of Madisonville, Kentucky I went to a tiny catholic school with 12 kids in my entire graduating class. Basically there were no potential prospects for me to have a crush on. When I moved back to Ohio I was thrown into a class of 600 students. There was a boy who played football and basketball, had the cutest baby face and all the girls had crushes on him. Nick could be described as the “popular” kid. My best friend had art with him and told me that he liked me. I liked him too, but was still a little antisocial from when I lived in Kentucky. Eventually we started talking and actually hanging out. One day before homeroom he asked me if I would go to the eighth grade formal with him and of course I say that I would. We wore matching coral outfits and we looked adorable. After the dance I was in the hallway waiting for my parents to come pick me up. Nick walked up to me and asked if he could have a hug goodbye. Right as I finished giving him a hug he said, “and a kiss.” Although I know it sounds kind of lame, that was when I had my first kiss. Nick and I are still really good friends and I always joke with him about how he “asked” me for a kiss. Today is his birthday too so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
such a nice boy :)
